i’ve heard of this issue before. what’s a good fix?
Afraid that’s as much as I know, still waiting on my JL to be built.

The manual also mentions SSC that sounds similar,, and says BLD remains enabled even if traction control is in reduced mode. Worth reading.

On my corolla i had the same issue, no bld on that. It was that they missed greasing one of the caliper pins on assembly. May be something to look at as well. If thats it the dealer should have no problem givingn you new pads and possibly a rotor.

If you do not turn off your traction control while off road, the Jeep will apply the brakes to shift power to the wheel with traction. Diving in mud and sand, it could easily do that a thousand plus time in a few miles. This will drastically increase the wear on the rear pads.

I would suggest you go to O'Releys and buy their best premium rear pad, about $110 dollars as they come with a lifetime Warranty and you can replace them when needed and of course, turn off traction control.

Can't remember if it is both hi and low, but I know in at least one of them Jeep automatically turns off traction control for me? Or is it only on the Wiilys with the LSD that it is doing this?

Great question. I think I knew this at one time, but have forgotten. Assuredly, one of our experts here can advise.

4 low will shut off the traction control or at least minimize it to some degree.
