+1 new axle on order. Ugh.
At highway speeds the rear locker started flashing, power cycled, engaged/disengage lockers, nothing seemed to clear it. Next day flashing turned into “service axle locker system” warning in the EVIC.
Fortunately my dealership is giving me no hassles about the replacement. Unfortunately it’s estimated to be up to 3 weeks before the new axle comes in.

Edit: Updated parts estimate is now “end of September” so almost 2 months.

Same here except a two month estimate for the axle. Did they give it back to you? Did they say it’s safe to drive?

I installed the Z locker OEM yesterday (about a 20 second install) and all appears to be working normally now. Time will tell if this fix is permanent but I hate having to deal with my local Jeep dealership so this was a much better path for me than replacing the rear axel.

Hey good people-

This stupid issue is happening to me now.
2018 Rubi. I'll probably take it to the dealership this week. See what they say.

I'll keep everyone updated.

This is stupid

Hello Everyone. After having my jeep at the dealership for over a week they decided that a new assembly is what I need. Locker modulator was getting oil on it from a worn out seam... Only way to fix it is a new axle. Sigh/

I am having the exact same issue (warning light comes on and flashes randomly....) - but I am now at 52k miles and out of warranty - at least for B2B - is this considered powertrain and is Jeep to the point with this where it's being handled as a silent recall?

My axle finally came in, took two full days to do the swap, but at least it’s done.

Mine just started doing this locker engaged light thing. I ordered the Z Locker harness. Is this a long term solution?

Ive have purchased and installed 2 zlocker harnesses. Front and Rear. My service lockers lights / icons / messages all were corrected. All lockers work as expected and dash / off-road pages work as original. All was fine forvabout 2 weeks until tonight. I was backing out of my driveway and The service axle lockers warning light returned briefly for about 10 seconds than went away. Soooo... Im pretty skeptical about how effective the z-locker harnesses are... im even more skeptical that having FCA replace my axles is actually a legitimate solution. @JeepCares I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2018 JLUR but this service axel locker issue and the ludicrous axle swap that FCA is pushing as it a solution has left me a bit soured.

My 2018 JLUR has been in the shop for 9 weeks and they have replaced the front axle, wire harness and controller. I was given a star case and even had a engineer from FCA went to the dealer and now the suspect it is the rear axle (backordered) I also did try the Z-locker fix and that didn't work for my case. Hopefully when rear is replaced it will work.... fingers crossed.

Installed the Z locker oem and the problem has apparently been solved. Appreciate the assistance offer from Jeep Cares, but replacing an axle seems like a really expensive band aid approach to solving this problem, because they all seem to have the same faulty sensor. When FCA comes up with a real solution I will take mine to the dealer. Maybe FCA and/or Dana should buy the rights to the Z Auto sensor fix instead of swapping out otherwise perfectly good axles.
