Ready Brake cable mud/debris or freeze concerns

Narrowed my flat tow brake choice to Ready Brake or RVI3. I have concerns about mud/debris getting into the cable system and causing issues. Also during extreme cold temps residual water/debris could freeze up and cause issues with the cable operating/releasing properly.

I would appreciate any feedback regarding these concerns....Thanks
