I plan on regearing the 392 Rubicon this week but having difficulty deciding between 4:56 and 4:88 gears. Tires are 37" Toyo M/T's on factory wheels and bead locks. Any thoughts on 4:56 vs 4:88?

Read somewhere that it was 4:56 with one of the factory packages. Could be fake news.
4:56 comes standard with the Xtreme Recon package

4.88’s are -or will be- available on Extreme Recon packages but only with the manual transmission. 4.56’s are available from the factory with the Extreme Recon package and Automatic transmission.

Missed that this was in the 6.4 section. Disregard original comments. 4.56s should be plenty unless you ever plan to go to 38/39” or bigger in the future…if that’s the case then I’d lean toward 4.88s

37's will be as tall as I go on the factory axles. I would upgrade axles if the need for 39's or 40's ever arises.

Copy that. I’d go 4.56s
