Im looking to lease a 2019 Wrangler and I'm debating between JLU Sport S or Rubicon. I won't ever go off-road. Just an extra fun car for driving around town so the lift is purely for looks. I'd like 37's but I've read on here that 37's require changing gear ratios and a bunch of other expensive stuff on Sport and Sahara.

I'll be leasing so I'm looking for the cheapest way to run 37's. Do I need to get a Rubicon to run 37's on a budget boost? What's the least expensive way to get 37's on a Sport S? I'm doing a 3 year / 30k mile lease. Thanks in advance for any help. It's much appreciated from a noob.

I wouldn't modify a leased vehicle. If you plan on it, I would strongly suggest asking the dealership/Chrysler their policies prior to doing so.

My son had leased a JK Sport for the past several years and had done a few mods like rock rails and such and they never said a word when he turned it in but then again the items he added did not change the geometry of the Jeep as in raising it up so I would ask what there policy is and tell them what you plan on doing and seeing what they say but if I were to guess I would say they will be tellling you NO DONT DO IT.

I'm not sure the dealer would ever know since i plan to return to stock when i give back the Jeep. But more important is the question of running 37's on a Sport S without regearing. I'm guessing the answer to that is a "no"?

They will know if you put 37s on a sport without regearing, because you will need new gears, probably carriers and trans within 10k miles.
If you go 37s you will need either a tazer or the dealer recalibrate for the bigger tires.

If you are not going off road, just put some 33s on it, and maybe a rubicon take off suspension, this way when you return your lease, you don't get financially destroyed.

And for the record, I am tired of these posts, and the lack of research and knowledge people buying JLs seem to have.

If you are ok with a little more sluggish feel to the throttle, and worse gas mileage, go for the 37's on a JKS or other reputable 3.5" lift and return it to stock when you are done! Different Strokes for different folks.

Flashcal's will fix the speedo issue. Just know that if you do any damage to the vehicle with the bigger tires (like going off-road and going down waterfalls) that is on you!
