I cannot post pics now but have had the top down with the cover in place.

The top will not go down enough to lock in place but no issues. I have a bigger tire that sits high so it does not cut anymore visibility.

Hi Laroo,

could you post pictures of the duster installed, top down?

thx for the help!

Patrick
Here it is with cover completely on. I strap both sides down to keep it from bouncing around since it doesn't lock.

Here are some older pictures, first shows back part of cover unattached and stuffed in the tub, second pic shows the top completely down and locked. I run both ways, but mostly with the cover on and strapped because it's a little easier.

Thank you so much!!! I like the straps. No chance of damaging the top system, you think? I’ll never run with the top completely removed. Less manipulation = less risk of damage, therefore I’ll never hook up this tonneau to the tailgate bar. I guess I’ll go With the GPCA model, even if it does cover as good, since that 10 in. that people complain about will be taken by the folded roof. I’m not looking for weather protection, but to hide sutff from prying eyes while stopping somewhere for a short time.

It is a Jeep soft top. Very durable. Take care of it but you are not damaging it by using the cover as designed. The straps are fine - just do not bend or put any undue pressure on the tubes.

FYI. CJ pony parts has the tonneau and wind deflector in stock. Great price too.

Do you need a bar in the back to secure it? I have a hard top, just looking for something to keep people from looking inside when naked. I have a RainGear cover, so I don't care about it being rain proof. Thanks.

Technically it you do need the bar but, you can probably get away without it.

Thanks Billy Goat
The bar and end caps are probably not to expensive. There are posts earlier in this thread that say the JK bar works ( which would/should be cheap ). The end caps can’t be too much. I can tell you with the bar it’s a super tight fit.
there are many other tonneau options that don’t use the bar but, all the best ones do.

Any thoughts on which tonneau is better...Quadratec or Rampage?
