Ram seat rail mount (RAM-316-HD-202U) works on Jeep JL?

Curious if anyone bought and installed one of these on a Jeep JL?

I ordered a mounting plate from LidoRadio to attach to it. This way I can mount my Yaesu FTM-400XDR and Wouxun KG-1000G faceplates one over the other, and two mics below (basically a square mount that I can easily detach when I get home).

Didn't want to order unless someone already verified the fit.

they work as inted for use on hard ball ( regular roads ) since they are installed in every police vehicle ( well most of them) now off-roading might be another issue with the constant jaring around left / right & up / down.

No I havent but I personally know some LEOs and they have something similar if not the same for there laptops in there vechiles and it mounts just like these do

I installed the dash plate and the mount for the phone. Tons of vibration and then the mount on the dash side was loose even though I cranked it down.

Ah ok, I appreciate the feedback, but it doesn't seem like anyone who responded actually bought/installed the mount in the original post, so I can verify it fits the Jeep JL model.

I went ahead and ordered one. Will shout back once it's installed and the radios mounted.

I'm confused... did you not use the RAM-VB-196-SW2. The link on your web site points to post about installing a Lido mount instead.

I backed out of the RAM Mount bracket, after seeing the Lido L-Max bracket.

I just updated and renamed my blog post, added some wiring pictures, and an updated picture of the bracket with both radios powered on.

Understand, the revised page looks good. I've got a TM-D710AG installed in mine. The RF deck is in the rear storage compartment, the control head mounted to the JL Grab Bar using a ball mount from CMM Offroad. Also shown is the BulletPoint RubiGrid Dash Mount with mounts for phone, GoPro, and a SurfacePro.

Nice setup. I have the Cmm grab bar roll mount on my 2011 JLUR too. Do you find that without the rubber coating the RAM clamp doesn’t stay in position?

Yeah somewhat, but I've gotten used to it. I just tighten it back down as needed.

So the Lido Mount isn't holding up as well as I thought it would. Too much plastic where stronger aluminum is needed. So I went ahead and bought a RAM Mounts RAM-VB-196-SW2.

The issue I found when first looked at it last year, is that both mount points are horizontal. Where the Jeep JL has a flat mount point on the left from seat rail bolt, where the right front seat rail bolt is diagonal.

I contacted RAM Mounts to ask if they have a right side bracket that'll work on a Jeep JL. The person who responded was probably an intern or outsourced. Basically they suggested I purchase a different product. Erm. Nope. I just spent $230 on a universal mount that, yes, is marketed as "some fabrication may be needed".

So I'm not going to buy another product. I'll just have to figure out how to cut/bend/drill a bracket that can accommodate the right front seat bolt. I'm a little disappointed that RAM Mounts doesn't think making a Jeep JL compatible front right seat bracket is worth their time and effort.
