Stupid question, did people check their fuses to be sure they were seated? If they haven't been seated, did you check the contacts for corrosion? I've seen people find this issue from 18's to 21's. Not sure how its gone on that long. I'm also skeptical it will solve your problems, but if it does for one person this post was worth it.

not saying it could not be a problem. but if it was a problem with corrosion, radio would be constantly cycling. Yet, it only does it 3-4 times. I do now and then have hour plus drive and once it is done its initial cycling it does not cycle until next start up

FYI, for a short time problem went away and now it is back.

Need to schedule a dealer visit to have them inspect it.

We're sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this concern. When you do have the opportunity to visit the dealer, please feel free to loop us in! If additional assistance is needed throughout your dealer visit, send us a PM. We'd be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to assist.

The service advisor I have been working with has said he hasn't had any customer go through as many radios. He said usually one fixes it. Also he said my radio wasn't under the same memo from Jeep.
I have the 8.4" Alpine Infotainment. My radio was replaced about 2-3 weeks ago and the new radio started malfunctioning again a week ago. Blue screen when backing up, locking up so none of the touch screen buttons or functions work, reboots by itself by shutting off and restarting, it also gets stuck powered ON even when the car is OFF. It won't turn OFF so it can drain the battery. It's going back in this week. This is starting to get old. I hope they figure out whatever is wrong.

I had the same problem as others-when my iPhone was plugged into the USB it would play for a while and then a POP sound and the radio died then back on with time off. Dealer replaced it about a month ago and now it only connects the phone to the USB about half the time. Is it really that hard to make a radio that works? Maybe I wouldn’t be surprised in a Hyundai but not a 2018 Jeep Wranger.

Every time I mention to the service shop about the Uconnect popping and resetting, they say the same thing, "Weird. I've never heard of this being a problem."

I have the 5" screen. It restarted and cleared the clock and presets to default. Luckily it only happened once.

Mine hasnt done it in a long while. I guess various reflashes might have fixed it. Or not. Time will tell.

Well, mine looses time too. Over the period of a few weeks, it will loose 2-3 minutes.
But, the main issue is that the radio will be playing, then shut off, on its own. When this happens, the time will be reset to 12:00.
did you get your problem fixed?

My 5” radio would shut off and reset. It was good for a while after reseating the fuses. Yesterday it started misbehaving again, shutting off and resetting every minute or so. Today I noticed this only happens when my iPhone is plugged into the USB port in the center console. What the heck is the correlation/causation?

Have the same damn thing as all of you. Been doing this every couple of weeks. I only connect an iphone with bluetooth so no cable for me and it does it. Definitely looks like a short since it also does a big "bleep" while it shuts down and reboots.
