I’m curious to know what other Jeep owner experiences. Whenever I use CarPlay for navigation (Apple Maps), the spoken turn-by-turn direction only comes out of the left speaker. When I have my music running, the left speakers dim for the spoken turn-by-turn, but the right speakers remain at the same volume for the music. Does anyone know if this is by design or if it’s a bug in the Uconnect software or CarPlay?
I am aware of 3 types of volumes (Music/Voice Commands/Navigation), and I often have my navigation volume maxed out.
The reason for the question is that It’s difficult to hear the navigation speaking when I’m driving at highway speeds, and I have my music playing.
I did make an observation though. When I am using solely Bluetooth, and not CarPlay, the spoken turn-by-turn dims music on all speakers which is how it should be. I had a work trip recently that provided me with a car rental, and CarPlay dimmed music on all speakers for turn by turn directions.
Any thoughts?
