On another note
I found out that the Maserati 3.0 V6 is the same motor as the jeep 3.6 put a smaller displacement
I also found that the Maserati's normal operating temperature is 195 to 200 degrees
Maserati also uses 5w40 oil
Just yesterday I changed the oil on my Willys to 5w40 Valvoline European and it seems to be quieter
Today I will do the same to my wife's Rubicon and see if it is quieter
If Maserati runs 5w40 in there motor it should be good for my 3.6

Link to motor comparison

Thats a good point.. Any idea what other cars use our 2.0 engines? I also run 5w-30 and wondering if it would help going to 5w-40

Not sure about the 2.0
Is your 2.0 a turbo. If so They generate a lot of heat in the turbo bearings and see only a benefits to using 5w40

I look up European 2.0 tubo motors

VW 2.0t tsi engine recommended oil Oil (5W40 / 5Qts)

BMW
I am driving the F30 328i N20 Turbo engine, my garage recommended me to use 5w50 oil instead of the 5w40 written in the BMW manual because it does provide more wear protection

Just a few I came across

Remember. Here in the US the car manufacture have a MPG mandate and will suck every MPG out of motor they can. Lighter oils will give less resistance. PUT IS IT THE BEST THING FOR OUR MOTORS???

So the strange thing is most other cars on that list recommend 5-40, But i hear it can play with the VVT due to the oil pressure change... I might just try it and see

I don't think so
From what I have seen so far it my oil pressure is the same as with 5w30
Same 30/31 psi below 3000 rpms and about 70 psi above

These are "professional" instructions? Hack into a CAN bus wire and wrap with electrical tape?

Holy chit guys.... DON'T do this....

The PWM fan wire can be grabbed elsewhere and connectorized. CAN HIGH and LOW can be grabbed elsewhere and connectorized. Power and ground elsewhere and connectorized. If anyone does this, build a real harness, those directions are hack chit.

That is a picture with the harness unwrapped
After connections are soldered you re-wrap with harness tape

Found this on the Gladiator forum
I usually get around 60-70 when accelerating. Coasting/mild gas in 8th gear stays at 31.
