Not false. Though feel free to not pick my wording. Attorney general site says 3 attempts to fix a major issue or cumulative 30 days in the shop (severity of issue not specified).

So yes. Would qualify to go under lemon law here. I had a car bought back under lemon law for seat trim pieces falling off. Pontiac Aztec.

Point for the OP is you have options and can contact your state attorney general to step in. A lemon law complaint could at the least light a fire and best get your money back.
Probably our great state felt sorry for you for purchasing that thing:like:

I just try to give a non-biased, open minded, rational view/facts.

Out of curiosity, what was wrong with the hinges? Why repaint? Pictures?

Although it can be a tricky spot to paint due to the moving parts, something like that should have taken no more than 1-2 days.

Over 30 days, no way...time to raise H-E-double hockey sticks.
All of them are like that.

You had them repainted for that!?

Hope you dont expect much more after a 3rd party paints them.

Good luck!
Yeah I had them repainted for that. They weren't right. Doors coming off would make them chip even more.

You wouldn't have an issue with this?

To answer your question: yes I would have issue with that. I've had similar paint defects elsewhere on my Rubicon, trust me.

However, I did not want those areas repainted...heck no.

Nothing a razor, some light sanding, touch-up paint and elbow grease couldn't fix.

I hope you get your Jeep back soon..good luck bud

Looks like you caused this damage removing, or trying to, the doors. I don't know. It's just what it looks like to me. I hope you don't have high expectations from a third party:facepalm:

Doors have never been off. So it's good it's not what it looks like to you. I have pictures from the day it was purchased that show the damage.

I think you were absolutely entitled Mark to expect better on a new rig.

That rigs a year old, whose doors have been removed, and/or which have been off roading might look like this is irrelevant.

The dripping dried paint from the bottom of the side of the hinge that's bolted into the door: not good, unacceptable..

And the time to repair this.....

this is an afternoon's work--and only that long because paint needs to dry between coats.

So did you see this when you purchased it? And the dealer didn't say anything either? I know some dealers are down right assholes, but geez:surprised:. I still don't understand why the dealer sent it out to a third party and didn't contact another FCA certified body shop?

I noticed it shortly after. So I looked back at the pictures I had taken the day I got it and it was there. They apperantly dont do painting at their location which I was unaware. I dont see how theycouldn't have been painted and then bolted on the day I dropped it off. It's been a complete hassle and I would have ignored the issue and ordered my own hinges and had them powder coated if I had know this was gonna take this long.
