I purchased your Tie Rod, Drag Link, and Track Bar recently. The tie rod finish looks pretty pitted compared to the other parts I received.
I did contact customer service who told me this was expected and due to the steel type and manufacturing process. He also stated that Metalcloak focuses on function/durability rather that appearance.
I would think it should be a combination of everything. I doubt Metalcloak wants me advertising a subpar looking product on my Jeep that performs well when a potential customer can go with other competitors that have a well finished product that also performs well.
I like Metalcloak products and really do expect you to stand behind your product, 100%. Thanks
