I test drove one today. thinking about it but really wanted the turbo 4. When u went bigger tires. Did you see a performance difference? The v6 seemed sluggish compared to the turbo 4

If you thought the V6 was sluggish in CT, wait til you see it at altitude. In the mountain west nearly everyone has the turbo. Night and day difference up here.

I have the 2.0 with a 2.5” lifted Rubicon JLU with 37x 13.5” tires. I adjusted for the larger tires with the Tazer mini. I live in Denver and have no problem going anywhere (fast).

I have the 2.0 lifted 2.5 inches with 35s. I can’t tell there was a performance impact unless I floor it, then it’s still zippy but just less zippy than stock.

we have an 18 JL with the molar lift and 35”s. It has the 2.0 turbo. Looking for a rubicon for myself. Found a v6 I like just had a lot less power. Wondering if I go 35 or 37’s It would be a noticeable difference

Extra work. Just better to hold out for the right engine if I have to regear

You are gonna have to regear a 2.0 for the bigger tires for the same reason. The Turbo makes no difference in the bottom end where the e torque has more power and torque.

Our 2019 had the 2.0t with etorque and even on 4.10s didn't need a regear on 37s. The 3.6L in our 2022 has a little less torque but being an xr with 4.56 gears I still think it's geared lower than need be on 35s. If you are only planning 35s then standard Rubicon 4.10s would be fine in my experience. If you plan 37s I'd look for an xr as the 4.56s would be a good match there in my opinion.

GF already has a 2.0 JL sport 2 dr, Mopar lift on 35" Nitto trail grapplers. I didnt even notice a difference in its driving. Makes a lot of low end TQ

With ANY increase of tire size over stock WITHOUT a re-gear, you're sacrificing performance. Irregardless of engine....
You know, physics ?
