I recently had the RV flat tow harness (Mopar) installed and it only works when the host vehicle's headlights are on. Is that how it's supposed to work?

Brake Lights and Turn Signals only work if Rig headlights are on??
That does not sound right
It is correct that the tail running lights would only be on if the headlights are on, just like your rig.

That is how it's behaving now. It didn't seem right to me either.

Tow vehicle headlights off, turn signal or brake on, does nothing for the Jeep with it connected.

Sounds like I'll need to look into this more. Thank you for the reply.

I reached out directly to one of the other forum members who has the harness installed, and he said the tow vehicle does NOT need its headlights on for it to work properly. So, it looks like my installation is not 100%. Will review it on the 26th when I have more time.

I had that harness on my old JK and it also had to have the coach headlights on to work properly. The reason was because the 7 pin on my coach side didnt have a dedicated 12 volt supply available so the installer bridged the headlights feed to where 12 volt was supposed to be provided. That provided 12 volt to the apprpriate pin, but only when the coach headlights were on.

Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone else have any experience on the JL? Having it looked at tomorrow but don't want to waste time.
