I love it.

A friend's YJ got me into Jeeps when she let me borrow it for the afternoon. It was white, manual, with half doors, and no top (when I borrowed it). It took me until Jeep came out with the first TJ Rubicon to get my first Jeep, which made it into JP magazine when I joined one of their trips and had the first Rubicon and it had a 4.5" long arm lift and 35" tires. Drove it cross country from East Coast to Moab, Sturgis, Colorado, Yellow Stone, etc. for this trip. Good memories.

This is beautifully done, and has brought back fond memories. I had a 1991 YJ, base, 2.5, 5spd manual, soft top, half doors...bought new, never should have sold it. Found the exact match, a 93 Rust Bucket, happily bringing it back to life as we speak. The memories associated with Jeeps span generations, that's " Priceless"

I get why they put their doors on it but this would be a great opportunity to show off half doors. They looked great on the YJ.

Great job! Wish Jeep would consider some of the YJ colors for current models including the limited edition low gloss colors from 1992 Sage Green low gloss and sand beige!
Love the rims and that front bumper!!

I am with you guys. I would replace my grill and headlights with those in a heartbeat. That is awesome. Kinda makes me wish they would give the next gen wrangler square headlights.

I'm surprised they didn't put a winch on it.
Also, with those huge tires, did they re-gear? The 3.6 might struggle without new gearing.

What's the standard gearing 3.21? Maybe if that, but I still think that thing is lightweight enough that it wouldn't be a problem. It probably weighs 500 or more pounds less than a 4 door, or maybe even more with the back seat out of it. But if you went that far with mods, why not regear it? I'd probably put at least 4.56 maybe 4.88's in it. If it had the Rubi's 4.10 gearing it wouldn't have a problem pulling the 37's.

Gotta say, those Square Headlights were the subject of many a tirade and insult back then. Now, they are actually liked ! Glad to see this !

Am I the only one that hates the YJ? It was such a turd. The TJ will always be the original in my eyes.

The YJ was more of a made over CJ. Once they got the 4.0 inline 6, they were pretty good. The TJ was a revolution.

No, not at all. I can't stand looking at YJs.
