That is frankly my favorite custom JL I've seen yet, and that's saying something. I rank it even up with Jeep's best concept vehicles. If they offered that square headlight grille, It would be all I could do to resist buying it.
The YJ's rectangular headlights were very controversial when it came out. But my first jeep was a YJ and I have a special place in my heart for it. I actually loved the rectangular headlights.
Great job, @Quadratec ! You guys killed it on this one! Right down to the taillights and fuel filler! WOW!
Well done to Quadratec for the idea, and especially Unofficial Use Only for their superlative fabrication work. They got so many important details correct; the L in YJL being almost incidental.
The addition of tube/trail doors is a curious choice for this one-off vehicle. They weren't a thing when YJs were in production, so far as I saw.
-The "Corbeau" seats are overdone. As they are custom-made, the aesthetic could have easily been configured to pay correct tribute to the 1989 originals.
-The 9" touchscreen is really overdone. No, "connectivity" is not so important in a properly retro project that a garishly oversized screen needs to dominate the dashboard.
