Any suggestions for posting pics to the Garage section? I started a garage but almost all of my pics are over the 2mb limit.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the alarm on a JL? Say if you want to leave the dog in the car or you want to lock the Jeep but sleep inside without setting the motion sensors off.

Probably a really dumb question, but what are those plastic clips sticking out around the windows on the hard top (pic attached)? Are they something that is supposed to be removed after shipping? And how hard do you have to pull to get rid of them? I tried gently at the dealer, but it wasn't my Jeep so I stopped when they didn't come our right away.

Newbie question: I have a mostly stock JLU rubicon (winch etc, but no lift, stock tires) should I look for an aftermarket jack and if so, what are the favorites out there?

I will not be participating in this forum as of 8/31/2018. It's been a fun ride, but it's time to move on. Take care. - Dustin

Will the power soft top ever be available for the 2 door?
Probably not. However, nobody knows. Very few will be built for 2018 models. The ability to order the Sky One-Touch Power Top for JLU has been withdrawn until further notice. I would guess they bring the JLU Power Top option back when the Wrangler sales and production levels slow.

When going from soft-top to hard-top:

Do the door surround assemblies come off when putting the hard-top back on, or do they sit in there permanently?

Brad: the only thing you have the option of leaving on is the hardware on the Sports bar originally covered up by functionless trim that Dual (me) and I think Hard top owners get.

The two door brackets on either side: off. The hardware in the two back corners that holds the back and side window: off. I'm told by those in the know that it's not even a good idea to store the soft top fabric within the hard top.

That's the "off." The "on," in addition of course to the hard top itself, is the real wiper and defroster connections.

I watched a soft-top install on Quadratec's YouTube and remembered hearing him talk about leaving in the soft-top brackets on the rear roll bar.

Then I realized I heard nothing about what else can't be there for the soft top. Makes sense the surrounds wouldn't stay in.

Hell, I still don't have a JL yet, but I keep coming up with thoughts.
