@Wbino Walter: It's not so much that the dam doesn't work: it does, but rather, the side effects of its functioning correctly:

When it's raining, and I open the driver's door, water comes dripping down from the point where my arrow is on to the carpet. This dripping point is aft (behind) the front edge of the rain gutter where I created the dam.

Perhaps the solution to my problem does not come from undoing the dam and attaching those gutter extensions, but somehow blocking the flow of water at the point of my arrow with, say, silicone, etc. or introducing some some of channel that allows the water to not exit here, and flow further towards the ground, exiting at a place where below is more closer to outside than inside the vehicle.

Extend your dam to almost mid drivers door? (silicone)
Tiny drilled (drip) holes along the gutter to stop the pooling..?

If you have water coming down from that point, it may not actually be coming from the rain gutter. When I first got my JL, I installed a Sunrider for Hardtop. It rained for almost an entire week afterwards. I noticed water on my front driver site floor mats and actually went out to sit in my Jeep while it rained to look for the leak. I immediately noticed water running down my A pillar and door, coming from the same area you highlighted. I had Bestop send me another top, thinking that was the issue. When the new top didn't fix anything, I put my freedom panels back on and made an appointment at my dealer for their leak specialist. It turned out that the leak in that area was from an improperly installed door seal at the factory. The seal was fixed and no more leak.

I too run here with the Bestop Sunrider. I didn't include that fact thinking it irrelevant.

I just remembered that the leak specialist at my dealer also fixed a body seam under the driver side cowl. It too wasn't full sealed from the factory.

I know it's a pain, but it couldn't hurt to ask you dealer to have your vehicle looked at.

Thanks Dave. I siliconed the living daylights out of those seams under the cowl last year.

Death wobble is always an issue on a solid front axle vehicle. Should it be on a brand new vehicle? No and for the most part it really isn't. It's when the components start wearing out that the problem occurs. So to answer your question it isn't an issue on 99.9999% of new Jeeps but it's not that they did something to correct it, it's that the parts are new so it typically doesn't exist.
However if you were to get a trackbar with a bad bushing in it then you could experience death wobble under teh right conditions because that bushing would allow too much play.

What I mean to say by that is that if you asked "are changes made by the dealer detectable by the Jscan app?"

In a matter of speaking: sometimes.

Like you've been contemplating, I too acquired the Jscan app and compatible ODB II Adapter to configure proximity locks. Along with the hardware Jscan worked like a charm in configuring this.

But, if the dealership ever has cause to flash your vehicle it is likely that your Jscan changes will need to be reprogrammed into the vehicle after that flash.

So the dealership flash will overwrite all configuration, and meaning there won’t be able harm bringing it into the dealership with the JSCAN changes? Only harm is that we lose our changes? Would there be any cases where the jscan changes would cause issues with dealership services?

While I personally doubt that there is little if anything that you can do with the Jscan app to screw up a dealer, I suggest that you take this up on Jscan's Facebook page. It's a really good place for such questions.

I'd be inclined to say the same thing about an unmarried Tazer JL as well. In other words one which is unmarried from the vehicle, and the SGW cables reconnected like factory prior to a dealer service visit.

Another stupid question, but for soft top owners in cold climates. How do you clean your back window in the winter? I am guessing I CANNOT use the gas station window wiper cleaner they leave out next to the pumps because that solution has alcohol in it and will degrade the plastic?

I am guessing just wait and use a self serve car wash and clean it then? I am thinking of when the salt/snow mucks up all the windows during winter.

Not at all stupid. I don't have a softop, but I've heard they are prone to scratching and hazing. I'm thinking a spray bottle of mild cleanser and a couple of microfiber detailing towels would be a worthwhile addition to your cargo area.

Second this. At one time my wife ran a Besttop and the guy at Besttop said the best thing is to have your microfiber wet when you use it to remove the dirt.

Yeah that's a great idea, could probably just do a quick spray of water and a little bit of dawn and wipe it down assuming the temps aren't frigid. I guess that's sorta the issue if the water just is going to freeze immediately if its frigid enough and no type of chemical in your cleaning solution. I guess in that case you just deal with it and wait for warmth/use a self serve car wash with hotter water.
