This definitely didn't need it's own thread.

How are you guys cleaning the under carriage of your JLs?

Are drive thru car washes actually effective at this?

I think that for best performance, the stock antenna would be hard to beat.
I agree, stock antenna is the best. I tried a stubby, but took it off about 2 months later. Back to good ole stock.

Anyone have the Rough Country 9500 Synthetic line winch out there? I really like the price point and it seems all I can find are positive reviews.

If it were me, I'd save my pennies and wait for the next sale on the Harbor Freight Badlands.

I’ve seen that one and how much people on the forum like it... Somewhere I read the synthetic line one could be picked up for $499 when on sale.

Is it that good? I have a hard time thinking anything from HF will last.

Drive through barely gets the big stuff off. I power wash the under carriage and get into the frame rails to prevent corrosion and actually see where I need to touch it up after wheeling.

It really is that good! The HF winches actually have always been pretty damn good, especially for the cost. The new Badland Apex is impressive. Side by side to a Warn winch they're almost identical. My guess is they're made by the same supplier. I have out my Apex to work and it has performed well. Get it on sale plus the 20% off coupon and you have a very affordable winch. I picked mine up for $504 plus tax.

I’ve heard (but haven’t tried) that a lawn sprinkler works well. But it under your Jeep and turn it on for a good soak. Might have to reposition once or twice.

Is it normal to have the LED light package where the halo’s light up but the front markers don’t? I also noticed there is no DRL option in the settings menu. Not a big deal at all but just inquisitive. Maybe not a high enough trim package???
When I first picked up my Jeep, there was a setting in options for the DRL, but after 2 weeks it disappeared. I am guessing they turned it off with an upgrade for the Canadian market as we have different laws regarding DRL.

Says compatible with gas pressure washers. I wonder if it works with electric ones as well.
It doesn't know if the pressure washer is gas or electric. Mine's electric and due to it's lower pressure I may have to modify it to use only 1 or 2 of the nozzles. I bought one last year, but haven't tried it yet.

I picked up my Smittybilt 12K with synthetic line for under 400.

What do you call those washers that protect bolt heads on skids? Where can you buy them?
