Hello all. I've noticed lately that when I put my JLUR into reverse, it is very loud. I can here the transmission engaging, especially when the windows are down. It is not loud when reversing, simply some loud popping noises when switching into Reverse. I do have the automatic transmission. 15,000 miles. I did not notice this before, just in the last month.

Also, when I have backed up, switch into Drive, I feel there is a delay, very slight, but a delay before accelerating.

Any chance I have a transmission issue?

Every get it sorted out? Mine is doing it in reverse even flat surfaces no incline. Loud bang, does not do doing into drive

Yes, it got sorted out....the Jeep got totaled a few months after I posted this. But I got a second jeep. The transmission on my second jeep is much smoother.

mine makes the same noise going into reverse..it just slams it into gear. My JLUR only has 1k miles on it, so I'm gonna see what's up.

Same issue here, but not every time. Maybe 80%

Still want to get it looked at.

Mine too....very smooth going into drive but clunks into reverse. Has done it since day one.... I figured I would wait a few thousand miles before taking it in....and watch the forums for possible resolution.

Anyone figured this out. Mines around 23,000 miles and started doing this recently.
