Jeep Wrangler JL Pulsar XT for 2.0L Available Now SC_Pulsar XT_18_20 2.0L Jeep_Hero_2400_x_800

Finally, an easy way to add power/torque to your 2.0L Wrangler without a PCM Swap! With the all-new Pulsar XT, you have easy control over your driving experience with shift on-the-fly level adjustment through your factory steering wheel controls, along with the ability to calibrate for larger tires and gear ratio changes. Pulsar XT also offer adjustment or disabling of the TPMS settings, disabling the Auto Start/Stop, and will even read and clear codes, all through the steering wheel and factory dash display.

Pulsar XT can be installed in 30 minutes, with simple plug and play connections. There is no PCM swap or unlock required. This inline module simply integrates into the factory system to add up to 20hp/30ft-lbs of torque. Five power levels adjustable while driving will improve throttle response, reduce turbo lag, and cut 0-60mph times by as much as a half second!

Competitors inline devices only add power when the vehicle reaches max boost, so you only feel their gains at higher RPM's under heavy load. With Pulsar XT, we offer improved boost and map curves right from idle, so you get major torque gains down low where you feel it daily driving, commuting, or even towing. Pulsar XT is unlike anything else on the market for 2.0L Jeep's and we think you'll love the control it gives you over your Wrangler. These are available for order now and fit both E-Torque and Non E-Torque applications, 2018-2021.

I would highly recommend this for people who donā€™t want to go the pcm swap route. I just installed the trail dash 3 on our 2.0t with the pcm swap and the added power has been great. I would have gone the pulsar route had it been an option simply for ease of install. Iā€™ve been running a pulsar on my 2017 ram rebel and the on the fly power level changes are a great bonus over a traditional tune.

Thanks for the feedback! This unit is a great new option for the 2.0L market.

Were the gains you show dependent on aftermarket CAI and/or exhaust upgrades?

No, our development, testing, and release results are on an otherwise stock Jeep. Just the Pulsar XT installed, a quality intake and exhaust system should only improve these results.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will be seriously looking at this. How soon will it be on the streets to purchase?

Can you comment about the graphs? It seems the pulsar gives more power and torque to the wheel than the PCM swap and flash tune you offer with the TD3. Also could you expand on the differences of both tunes? Thanks.

Iā€™m not sure what the difference between the tunes is, but looking at peak numbers from different dynos on different days is misleading. The difference between the stock and the tune is much more telling as those are run on the same Jeep on the same day on the same dyno. With that the td3 appears to have a much larger and broader gain over stock than the pulsar, especially the torque at lower rpms where it is most important in a Jeep . The pulsar being a piggy back cannot turn off the torque limiting in 4LO like the td3 or adjust shift points via the transmission tune. If you are ok with the pcm swap, the full tune definitely offers more than the pulsar does. If you are concerned with warranty, the pulsar is worth the money. Iā€™ve had a pulsar on my ram rebel for 4 years without issue. The difference in power is noticeable even to those that donā€™t know it is on there, so it definitely isnā€™t placebo effect. The TD3 has been on our JL for 2 weeks so Iā€™ve only tested it on the street. It shaved a half second off the 0-60, so it works for more power. We shall see in a few weeks how much it does in 4LO.

On the product webpage, it's mentioned that "your power levels will be displayed through the factory dash". Is this intended to refer to the center TFT screen, and if so, will owners with the smaller, black & white screen see all relevant data as what owners with the larger color screens will see?

Also, with respect to the module disabling Engine Auto Start/Stop function (by remembering the last button setting): will installation of the Pulsar conflict with the Autostop Eliminator harness, if the latter is already installed on the vehicle? I'm concerned about "stacking", even though the Autostop isn't a performance device in same manner as is the Pulsar module.

Finally, when do you anticipate the installation video being available on your site? I did see the link for the PDF manual. It seems the Pulsar's use of the MAP sensor plug during installation would foul the concurrent installation of a boost gauge that requires the same connection?

Thanks.

These are tough to compare. One is a dynojet in Utah, the other a superflow in Sanford...
Best to stick to one chart and compare the gains from each as opposed to trying to compare totally different runs from different vehicles on different dynos.

Thanks

I will have to confirm on the B&W screen. I would assume so.

Does the eliminator harness just do the same thing (leave it off once set to off?)?

Hoping to have install videos up this week for sure.
The pulsar installs inline, so anything that was able to plug into the MAP sensor previously will still be able to plug in.

Thanks

Does this raise the redline 150 RPM?

Yes, I understand that. The company should do the normalizations so the client can compare both products in terms of gains from factory. Not everyone knows how to calculate the percentage gains and most will go and check both graphs and notice that there is a difference without knowing they are run in different dynos. I thought the company used the same dyno for development. Basically the costumer has to calculate everything and not trust what they post when comparing products.
