Ok how do you hook up the security bypass cable, and the odb device to the jl,
My orb has pins, my port on the vehicle and security cable do not
So under your steering wheel you should see the OBD port, directly above it you should see some cable that you will unplug and plug into the bypass

I got this picture from another forum member showing it circled in red. Also I would remove the panel under the steering wheel(itā€™s only attached by clips) because it makes it much easier to see what you are doing. Put your car into run without pushing down the brakes. Then you plug the OBD into the security bypass, youā€™ll see lights flash and open up Jscan. Hope this is what you were talking about.

Ok, so with security bypass connected to my compatible ODB scanner and all proximity hardware installed I downloaded the IOS version of the software from jscan.net

Unless I missed something, the passive entry code hasn't yet been downloaded for IOS.

I was able to connect via my iPhone but did not see the options @Etch described under his Android phone.

BTW: The App says I have Version 7.4, Code: 246

How does one get the latest version of the app when it's updated?

Iā€™m waiting too, once the iOS update comes up everything should be all good to go until then we wait (Parker said the developer said that is would be out sometime today)

I just got the email that the front door wiring harnesses and door handles are unavailable.

I guess I'll try my local dealer and see if they have more luck.

This maybe?
  1. Open the App Store, then tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

Hey if anyone can find the parts online that are actually being shipped out do you mind letting us know. Iā€™ve tried two places (the links provided in the first post and another website) and the first cancelled and Iā€™m waiting for processing on the other. Thanks Jeep Peeps

My dealer's moparstores.com site doesn't even pull up these part numbers.

I think the only way to get these until they are off backorder would be to find a dealer that has them in inventory.

From what Iā€™ve read it seems that those with 2020 Saharaā€˜s and Rubiconā€™s have found the new door harnesses already installed from the factory. If thatā€™s the case and only one common harness is being used for all those models now then my guess is that FCA has redirected all available parts to the factory to try and push out the backlog of orders as fast as possible. We might just have to wait for suppliers to catch up now for the parts market.

@llemoine11 Landry/All:

I contacted the Jscan development guy/team via Facebook (their Preferred method) concerning the status of the IOS build of the software with the New Passive Entry features that @Etch Parker kindly described in the latest Android phone implementation of the software.

overnight I received a reply that ā€œheā€ (?) was hoping for ā€œtomorrow.ā€

I guess, best case, Iā€™ll interpret that to mean today or tomorrow.

:)
