@Tom73 @Bigfx1 yes the parts can be ordered individually, and yes you can do just the one door. I used JScan to program mine, others have used the Tazer. The only way to tell is to open up the door panel and compare the part number or maybe look for wires in the #15 and 16 cavity in the door harness plug. Bigfx1 if you are near by I would be willing to help.

As stated in previous thread you want to make sure you already have the antennas needed. Sahara and Rubicon are supposed to already have them if you have keyless entry w/ push to start.

This is what I did along with the videos and resources I used.

Step 1 - swap handles
(Parts Needed: Torx T20)

Follow this video:

rear swing gate has a grommet that needs to be removed to access the T20 screw holding the cap.

Step 2 - remove door panels.
(Tools needed: Torx T20, Torx T30 & plastic pry tool)

Follow this video to remove the panel

Step 3 - remove inner door card
(Tools needed: 10mm socket)

PDF
http://www.myjlproject.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Inner-Door-Plate-Removal.pdf

Remove 9 bolts around perimeter of the plate.

(Pic of all bolts and wires removed)

Roll the window down till you see the bolts holding the window. Remove bolts holding window and tape window up to keep it out of the way.

Once you have the window up you need to carefully pull the inner card back enough to get to the wire to the door lock and handle. This is the hardest part, you have to lift up slightly to get the bottom out first. You then have to pull down and twist just enough to clear the power window track and actuator.

(Tried to get a pic of the track you need to maneuver out)

Once you have the card pulled back enough remove and replace the door harness. This part is pretty self explanatory. Just make sure when you add the handle pigtail it is out of the way of the window path.

Step 4 - put everything back together

Step 5 - rear swing gate jumper
(Tools needed: Plastic pry tool)

Using a pry tool firmly pull the plastic panel off on the rear swing gate

(Pics borrowed from fellow members)

Step 6 - replace power lock harness with new jumper

Step 7 - put plastic panel back on

Step 8 - go to dealer and have them add sales code GXD and program vehicle

I’m trying to use these instructions to put soundeadner on my out door skin. However I couldn’t ever get the inner door panel to disconnect at the latch side. I removed torx screws but something keeps holding it in that area. I did not remove door handle but I don’t think that should hold the inner panel in.... Anybody got some tips? I would like to be able to completely remove inner panel and window regulator to access door skin.

Hi:

Although I have searched this thread, the answer to the following question is less than obvious to me.

How can I have, after having post purchased installed proximity locks on my Sahara consistent with this thread, have a rear camera that's always on?

I was an early adopter of the proximity locks of this thread using the Jscan app: which I understand has no capability like the Z Automotive Tazer to keep the backup camera on for the more than the factory, around 8 seconds, when the camera is enabled by pressing the app on the radio (as opposed to being reverse gear.)

Can I marry a tazer to my rig after I've used a Jscan to configure proximity locks--as the tazer has the ability to keep the rear camera on?

Does the tazer now support proximity locks such that were i first to do the proximity lock addition today that I would not need both products (Jscan and tazer)...just the tazer?

It there an easier way to say buy my own camera for the rear, in addition to the factory one, and configure it on a JL with jscan.

Sometimes I carry a lot of gear that blocks my rear mirror view. The tazer is a great product whose many features (aside from backup camera on) and cost is not my priority. But if I did bite the bullet and buy a Tazer, would it in fact be okay to not only use, but marry on a Jscan created (not GXD sales code, plus purchased MOPAR cables) proximity locks setup?

Thanks.

Sorry for my question.
Anybody can confirm the right parts needed?
I haven't BSM on my 2020 Ruby.
In the first post I see two versione: with or without BSM.
What part code I need for single right side door?
Thanks

The price of the kit increased to $431.52 from All Mopar Parts. I think it was around $390 last week. Still shows backordered. Does price fluctuate often?

Genuine Mopar Passive Entry Kit
I found this on ebay... seems like it is good pricing on these parts. Includes both front handles and the tailgate handle along with the magnetic caps. For 300 shipped - it is still cheaper than ordering the kit at 430. You will just need to wait on the harnesses which comes under 100 bucks.

Note: Not my listing but just trying to pass along the info.

Be aware that kit does not include the Door Harnesses.

Thinking about doing the passive entry install to my sport S. A bit confused about the wires needed between the xy315a and the door harness. Some posts say there are wires on both sides of 20/21 and 25/26. Is this the case? Also which side do you tap into? I’m assuming the side that has the blank pins below but a poster said this didn’t work. Thank in advance!

Many of us have done this to our Sport S Jeeps. You will need to add wires to the harness, I would try to avoid the cheap butt connector hack job and insert pins into the connector, it will be a more reliable and professional installation.

Have you heard of wires already being in these spots? I saw a couple of posts saying the spots were full and they were forced to splice. Thanks for the reply.
