Problems with uconnect system brightness

The Uconnect system in my wrangler sport S seems like the brightness won't adjust at all which makes it hard to see during the day. Has anyone else had this problem?

to my knowledge it’s full brightness with the headlights off, or during the day if you have auto headlights.

With them turned on you should be able to adjust brightness using one of the dials on the right of the headlight switch.
