I bought this earlier this year and have spent a considerable amount of money bringing it back to excellent mechanical condition. The only rust spot I’m aware of is on top of the drivers side fender, see photos. To the best of my knowledge, the paint is all original, I have not seen any signs of repaint/repair.
We have 3 Jeeps and have decided to go down to just 2 for now. I actually enjoy driving this as much as my new Jeep.
2003 Jeep Wrangler Sahara TJ Hardtop
Forest Green with light gray hardtop/interior (In some lights the interior looks almost tan)
6 cylinder 4.0L
Automatic transmission
164,600 miles (daily driver at the moment)
Cold A/C
Tilt/Cruise
Installing brand new touch screen radio and backup camera this weekend. (Jensen CAR910X)
Back seat (not shown in photos) is in just as good of condition, if not better than the front seats.
Jeep runs excellent, cranks right up and runs smooth, gears shift smoothly, no slipping, etc.
I spent $1,500 repairing the center rail frame rust using Saf-T-Cap system, both sides. Professionally done.
New:
13,750 NOW $12,950 Negotiable (credit union has title, will sign over at time of sale)
Feel free to ask any questions, I’ll do my best to answer them. I’m sure I’ve left something out, I’ll update it with anything I’ve missed.
