I recently upgraded to 37" and a Terraflex ST2 lift. The brakes noticeably don't seem as adequate as they were on stock wheels/tires. I've been shopping for upgrades and was looking for an opinion on the Powerstop upgrade (about $500 for front/rear), specifically over the Rubicons already upgraded bigger brakes. The only other option I've found thus far were the Alcon brand, but at over $4000 that seems excessive for my ride that will spend a small portion of its life wheeling or towing.

The Rubi comes with heavy duty brakes so you're good on the calipers and rotors. Just need to upgrade your pads. Look at EBC Red Stuff as a cheap and easy upgrade.

Buy these like I did and never look back: $100 well spent.

How much better is the break after this upgrade?
I used to think my brakes are squeaky, soft/spongy, which might be an isolated case for me. These fixed that, gives me a jolt when I stop now, and doesn't squeak.
