Hi,
I had a steel Rock Hard bumper on my JK and the powder coat started to fail after two years. I really liked the look of the bumper, and am interested in the Aluminum version for my JL Rubicon, but I don't want to have to sand and paint the bumper every Spring.
1. Have you changed your pretreat process to ensure better adhesion and corrosion resistance?
2. Do you pretreat aluminum differently than steel? (Yellow hexavalent chromate vs zinc phosphate)
Thanks,
Jim
