That’s the valero on 23rd in Miami Beach right? That one’s always been an expensive fill up for me. I’m still for now seeing $3.89-$4.19 between 163rd in biscayne and Aventura for now for 93.
It spiked again yesterday…
Hmmm. The fact that we drive bricks IS a reason to care about gas prices going up, not a reason we shouldn't care. But, yeah the difference between $2 gas and $4 gas at 16mpg and 10K miles per year is about $100 a month. Nothing for some, something for others. Not to point out the brick-shaped elephant in the room, but if gas prices are such a concern, maybe don't buy a horribly inefficient vehicle like a Wrangler? 100 miles at $2 a gallon when you get 20 MPG costs you $10. 100 miles at $4 a gallon when you get 40 MPG costs you $10.
We can't control prices except by limiting demand, but we've all chosen to NOT control consumption. Bring in more foreign oil, but reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Support American production, so long as it doesn't cost more to support American production.
Wanting to have our cake and eat it too makes us sound little more than entitled.
