Order a JLU sahara manual May 4th. Received my VIN on the 6th. Yesterday Jeep told me I was in D1 to check back in a week and today my dealer emailed me that my Jeep is built and they will call me when it arrives. Online Jeep chat doesn’t seem to have live updates. Getting excited.

Being as I sold my JKUR already, when I went in to the dealer today, they let me take a JLUR for a test drive since I was having withdrawals. she can’t get here soon enough.

Ordered 4/29. Happy mine was made before the 3 week shut-down.

I placed my order for my first jeep ever, a 19 JLU Sahara 2.0, on Thursday. Was expecting a 6-8 waiting period. Dealership told me me not to bet surprised if it shows up in 2-4.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to educate myself on the order process, the available options, and what type of pricing to expect.

I used to have a 2015 JK 2-door for a short period of time. While I loved it in many aspects, I really was not really a fan of how the manual transmission handled. I've driven many manuals over the years and just did not enjoy the JK. I've been eyeing the JL for a while and, after watching many reviews and after my coworker told me how much better the JL manual is, I finally decided to go test drive a 2-door Rubicon with manual transmission. What a difference!!

May 22 - Test Drive #1
May 27 - Test Drive #2 & placed deposit for custom build (attached photo)
May 31 - Financing approved and order placed by dealer
June 4 - VON received by dealer, BX status (good order, available for scheduling)
June 5 - VIN received, D status (firm schedule: serial number is assigned)
June 6 - Window sticker generated by forum bot
June 12 - D1 (gateline: plant has sequenced the unit for production)
June 18 - E (framing)
June 19 - F (paint)
June 20 - I (built, pending final inspection)
June 21 - KZ (released by plant and invoiced)

Maybe if I'm lucky it will arrive before Canada Day long weekend. One can hope right?

dang. Tho from what I've read on some of these posts, if you went through Jeep Chat they were slow on their update status, whereas the dealer was spot on?? it's frustrating waiting. i told myself after i had my JKUR built, i'd not do it again, yet here i am. waiting again.
