Hey everyone, My 20 OB JLUR has just arrived but sadly I'm away for another 6 weeks. Most of us run OE wheels and tires in the winter but some of us run winters here in the great white north. What does your winter setup look like?

I haven’t done it yet but my winter setup just consists of removing the Sunrider top and putting the freedom panels back on. After that it’s just a matter of having extra clothing layers and emergency supplies ready in case I get stuck in the mountains.

From the NE here..im running 37" Trail Grapplers which have proven pretty good on 3 past vehicles. handled last winter without issues. So for me, my winter setup consists of removing my tuffy trunk and swapping the st for the ht.

Enjoy your new rubi!

I'm in Northern BC and my Jeep (2020 JLUS) is sitting on a railcar right now waiting to be shipped so I don't do anything _yet_, but we did order it with Blizzaks (we also swapped the rims to the black 17" sport). We also got the dual top, but I am planning to buy the bestop sunrider so I'm following for advice. I'd like to ditch the freedom tops completely if at all possible, but I'm nervous about keeping the sunrider on all winter (where we can get weeks at a time of -30 degree weather).

The soft top will only be on from July to September unfortunately (I need the hard top and crossbars in May/June for my Kayak as that's when I go the most, when my kids are still in school and the lakes are free of motor boats).

I have mud flaps (Mopar), and just replaced the Rubicon Rock Rails with plastic Sahara side steps for winter slush/ snow conditions. I also sealed the slight gap between side step and rocker with pre- slit pipe insulation, it compresses well, won't absorb water.
The body stayed clean after a slushy 30 mile run

My winter setup: Selec-Trac 4WD with a rear LSD, 33” KO2s, a pair of MaxxTrax, Mopar slush mats, and two coats of Klasse paint sealant.

The Sahara side steps double as giant mud flaps, keeping debris from hitting the sides of the Jeep. I’m still debating whether to a pair of front Mopar splash guards.

The Mopar Mud Flaps , fore and aft, will make a big difference , even with the Side Steps, a lot is thrown from the front wheels, as you corner, turn the steering wheel.

Stock tires and wheels. Just put the hard top on. New wiper blades and sprayed all weatherstripping, wiper blades, wiper arms with silicone spray. Krown rustproofing. Weathertech slush mats because mopar ones have cut out under gas pedal and drain doesn't seal properly. Waxed all wheels.

Winter set up? I swapped the soft top for the hard top, and added an extra jacket in the back of the Jeep. Does that count? I'm doing Fluid film next weekend to prevent rust, and I'm going to try to get my Jeep washed weekly to prevent salt from just sitting there.

I love the Klasse. I use it on both of my vehicles and it is amazing. Easy to apply.
