Can you post more pics of this setup and how far the wheels stick out of the wheel wells? I'm also thinking about getting a set up. I'm assuming these are 17x8.5 0/4.75" offset, right?

First of all, thank for the props Don and I'm happy to share my thoughts.
On the STT's, for me there were a couple other tires in the mix, but the white letters were the tie breaking factor for me. So far, I am VERY happy with the overall performance on and off road. After playing with tire pressures a little, I've personally found that 30psi is the sweet spot for reducing the added harshness of the E load rating....plus they passed the "wife test". The only slightly negative is the road noise, but with that said I've had tires in the past that were much worse. Will I buy again.....most definitely!

As for the wheels, I wasn't sure if the stock lug nuts would work so I ordered a set of chrome from Quadratec when I purchased the wheels. After installing them, I decided I didn't care for the chrome, so I ordered a set of black locking nuts from Gorilla. So far, the wheels and nuts have held up very well and I have had several compliments on their appearance.

Here is a pic of the chrome nuts (before I had the Cooper's installed)...

I like the wheels!

"Room between the bump stops" actually makes rubbing worse, you know? It is pretty well documented that at full stuff the rears rub. The fenders just don't have enough clearance.
So a small 35 will rub and does not fit ?

PSA: They rub. They rub. They rub. With the smallest 35 (a 315 KO2), the sway bay connected, and with plenty of room between the bump stops...they rub. Lol
Thank you ,
This shows me that a 35 will not fit properly without a lift and longer bumpstops. I was thinking about going with the 315’s but I want my jeep functional not just for looks I do not want a nonfunctional jeep. Thanks again that’s a real world picture , real facts I can relate to that

I definitely wouldn't consider it "non-functional". There is a small amount of rubbing on the fender liner when the rears are flexed hard. That's not so bad.

Everybody has an opinion and that’s yours , but if his tire is rubbing the fender and his bump stops still have room that means if he had more cargo in there the tire would be right into the fender I don’t want that ! if that’s functional to you carry-on.

You are correct on the wheel dimensions. Here is an extra photo. It measures just under 2 inches past the flares.

This is my 315 KO2 and no lift. It is funny the stock tires are almost like 31 3/4 size, and 315 KO2 is like 33 1/2. So technically 315 KO2 is more for 4.10 gear than the 285 KO2.

Thank you, comrade Raptor. Otherwise we will not have the fantastic C rated 315 KO2.

I started to post in this thread to dispute the fact that they rub. I thought had a picture to prove it. Then I checked the fender liner...

I was essentially fully flexed with the sway bar disconnected. I had roughly 100lbs of gear in the cargo area. I’m running 315 KO2s on MOPAR beadlocks.

You can see from the pictures that the tire (or the mud coating them) made light contact with the liner. IMO, the rubbing is not significant in my case and is easily remedied but mine DID rub.

Those tires look like they’re just dying to eat your fenders up. Careful.

Thank you
We’re you on the bump stop ?

The reason I’m so concerned about rubbing is I live out west here we do a lot of sand dunes it’s so easy and I’ve seen it happen so many times people put larger tires on but don’t do anything to the suspension so when they cycle suspension all the way to the bump stops the tires are ripping fenders off, tearing up tires , or it’s so easy in the sand to get crossed up where one tire is fully buried in the sand and the other tire appears on top of the sand and you’re fully flexed one wheels on the bump stop and what happens to these people is they can’t even spin the tires to get out , the tire is wedged in the fender and we have to pull them out because they’re scared to spin the tire in fear of ripping off their fenders or flares or whatever plastic thing is in the way. We are aired down but the tire is only flat on the bottom. To me that makes it not functional , when bought my Rubicon promised myself I would only do things to improve it for function not looks , I’m not smarter than the Jeep engineers. I’m thinking a little 2 inch lift some 35s with longer bump stops and I should be rocking.

Here are few pics of my JLUR with 35's with no lift. The wheels are Fuel Lethal 18x9 +1 offset. I think the tires extend beyond the fenders just a little, just enough for my taste and the preference not to throw crap all other the side of my jeep or anyone else. Not to say I don't like the look of the tires outside the fender and inch or two, just a personal preference for my daily driver just to have a little.
