Just installed 315/70R17 BFG KO2's, picked her up last night!

Did you have to have the dealer recalibrate for the 315s or is it fine?

Good morning,
Icon Rebound 17" wheels
Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain 315X70X17 (the C rated version)
Stock Rubicon Suspension

Have a great day!
Didn’t realize Toyo mt in a 315 came in a load range C. I thought BFG ko2 was the only one that came in a C load rating.

Can't speak for him, but I just went to the same size and bought a flashcal device specifically to calibrate tire size in the computer.

You don't have to do it, but your speedo will be off and the transmission will also get a bit confused (if you have an auto)

I paid the dealer to do it, they have a Mopar sheet on how to measure the tires and then they build a permanent profile that gets attached to your VIN. Speedometer is spot on and it did help slightly with shift points.

Sounds like a great option

I run 35x12.5x17 KO2’s load E and I find my tread pattern doesn’t make full contact unless I’m around 29 PSI. Does the dealership’s reprogramming for tire size also recalibrate the tire pressure warning threshold?

I'm sure they can, but likely won't unless specifically asked.

I went with a Flashcal (tazer would work too) because I'm keeping my original wheels and tires for winter. Didn't make sense going to the dealer every 6 months to have them readjust the tire size in the computer.
Also didn't have tpms sensors for the summer wheels so I can also turn off the tpms for summer.
This way, it doesn't care if I air down for trails either.

I thought so too, but since my earlier post, I've added the Teraflex 1.5" lift. That gave me back the gap in the wheel wells that I lost going to 35's.
I have no intention of going any higher, as it's my daily and a little bit of a stretch for me to now to climb in.

Looking back on this lift would you have been ok leaving it stock with the 315s or very happy you went ahead and did the 1.5” lift. Any pics from the side with the lift?

IMHO, functionally leaving it would have been fine for on road use and mild off roading. I have since traded mine off and will be ordering a replacement in the upcoming months. It will stay stock for a bit, but in the end I will go again with 35's and the 1.5" lift. I felt it was just right.

Looks great. The 1.5” lift really does give plenty of room for a 37” if you wanted. Why did you trade it in?

There were several reasons honestly, but getting my wife and her bad back into something she could comfortably drive were the focus. My next one will be configured exactly like I want rather than taking whatever is available.

Thanks Alex. I'm happy with how it looks. I think Bronze would look even better on Granite, I couldn't find them in stock so went with Titanium.
My Rubicon is Black, that's why I'm leaning toward the matte bronze, I prob would go Titanium with granite as well. How's the ride with the KM3's? I really like the tire just was a little worried that they are only offered in a load range E.
