I think I have gotten as good as I can get on mine. I now average up to 22mpg with a JLUR 3.6m. I rarely dip below 20.5 on average and haven’t reset in about 4K miles.2020 JLUR stock 33” Ko2. Plastic bumpers but 140lbs of rock slide engineering step slides.
3.6 manual.
I’m getting about 19s generally but 18s this week with mostly city driving. When I’m mostly highways it’s low 20s.
I was driving with a very soft foot shifting early to get to my target speed. The Jeep seems to hate that. I’ve found really revving 2nd and 3rd gear up to speed then setting it in cruising gear with cruise control is the best way (and more fun to drive this way).
Cruising gears
25: 3rd
35-45: 4th
55: 5th
65: 6th.
I generally don’t go above 55 even on the 65mph highway (no traffic) but even at 65 I’m not changing my MPG much at all. I just like the wind with everything open at 55.
