It wasn't, but I've never noticed that before or after.
Ah, that could be it. Mine will always show 4.7 MPG when I do that, but go back to the average after starting the engine. Weird quirk of the computer I think.

I've seen people posting screenshots of averaging mpgs in the 24's, 25's and as high as 28mpg with ranges of 400-500+ ranges.

I've never seen or heard of such high numbers in a Jeep Wrangler.

I get 14-16mpgs on avg with a range of 280-315 avg.

I am lifted 2.5", 35" KO2's.

When it was stock I remember 330ish range with 16-18avg mpge and driving my new rig like a baby.

How are these folks getting such high numbers that Jeep cant even claim the Wrangler gets?

....do these number really exist or are people somehow fudging there claims?
Well, here’s mine from this morning.
25 mile commute into the nation’s Capitol.
Average speed about 50 mph.
87 octane gas.
Little or no change in elevation.
Stock Rubicon with hard top.
Family calls me Safety Sam as I’m never in a hurry, life is too short to rush.
Fuel range on full tank is between 390-420 miles.

Happy New Year!

Not calling anyone a liar but I think there is something wrong here. How do I get 14 and folks are getting 25. That isn’t just a little difference. I am an average driver. I tried one tank in full granny mode and it raised my MPG like 2.

I have to think some of these posts are right after resetting the screen and then coasting down a hill and grabbing the screen shot. If not that then I think the screens and calculations have to be wonky. I just can’t believe the same vehicle is that far of a spread.

Just got back from a round trip to Key West about 3700 miles. No screen shot but an overall calculated average of 19.25. Got about 18 when going 75 - 85 and 22.6 when driving the overseas highway where you are lucky to break 60.

When you are driving a box, it is all about speed.

As an aside I would never considered a 28 hour drive in the JK, the JL is so much more comfortable. I think my RAMs days of road trips are over unless we are towing.

I get about the same when I go down to the Keys as well. I live right at the entrance to the Keys in Homestead and I can’t get anything higher than 17 mpg. Traffic is getting crazy down here.

Well, this has been pretty typical for me in the 6 months I’ve had my Jeep. Just so we are clear, I hit the reset once I pulled out of my driveway this morning and just about 40 minutes later took the snapshot in the garage at work. No coasting involved, it is DC traffic after all. Not serious enough for me to lie on a forum. Happy New Year!

Anyone from nyc and that can show me some numbers?
I am at about 17.5 mpg here in Toronto . I noticed with the winter gas I am down from about 19 mpg in the summer . 90 % of my commute is non highway driving . I mostly gas up at Shell and sometimes at Esso. It seems to me I am getting slightly better mileage with the Shell gas. As long as gas prices do not climb over $ 100/ barrel I will survive.

Here's my average with stock 2019 JLUR Rubicon with 3.6 V6 and auto.
Driving amix of freeway and city driving (mix of uphills, flat, and few slightly downhill roads).

Don't know... I don't have a screenshot but when I took a trip last month from the Black Hills down to Steamboat Springs, I averaged about 22mpg round trip. Driving mostly at 60-70mph on two lane roads, hardly any freeway time. 2.0T JLUR
