This is our 3rd Wrangler (TJ, JKUR and now a JLUR). From my perspective, it has been easy to see that the engineers put forth a great deal of thought as to the practical design.

  • The T-tops are much lighter and easier to remove...as is the rear section of the top
  • The doors are much easier to lift off because someone thought of allowing handgrips on the inside
  • The windshield is easy to drop
  • The supplied tool is very useful
  • The ride is exceptional
  • The interior layout is vastly improved over the JK
  • The side vents almost entirely eliminate hood flutter
  • The heated seats and steering wheel are awesome
I can go on and on about the little things....

I'm going to praise and "apologize" to my JL.

I got mad at you for no reason yesterday. After a year's ownership you threw a check engine light and I assumed the worst of you and FCA builds. I brought you to the dealer who told me I have to tighten your gas cap to no less than 3 clicks so you won't emit fumes from the gas cap.

You were just trying to warn me that I wasn't being "green." I'm sorry.

After all those years they should change the gas cap to a simple message instead of the check engine. They clearly intend to grab money from it.

I think there should be a Pro AND Con sticky so folks can read praise and gripes easily.

Have had mine 6 months..
- Liked not having to buy grab handles, actually removed the driver one.

-like bank of aux switches in the rubi

-ESS, I like it, too much red light time, kill that motor.

-lighter doors, especially the back ones, so easy to remove

-best dash layout ever.

-Uconnect big screen, intuitive controls.

-punk'n my favorite of 4 jeeps owned lifetime

-fold down window, may actually use it. Never a chance with old jeeps, too much hardware. Even better structural soundness is not reliant on a window frame.
