Does anyone else have an issue with the textured hard top having really poor coverage in the rear hinge areas or top of side window areas? It's like the guns only shoot from the top or side but not upwards.

Mine look even worse in person than these pics show. JLUR built last month.

Yes, I am seeing similar but not at all as bad as in your pic. Mine is above the rear side windows and on the hinges.. Hardly noticeable on mine, but if you look close, yup not the best coverage.

My JL is a 2018 built in May 2018.

The splattered is blah... Its hard to paint with the texture and whatnot, but i have heard of people using sharpies or a black china marker and even black shoe polish that blends pretty well.... I know the shoe polish works great on the bumpers and the flat black flares... Ive also heard good things about this product too and its not overly expensive either.. It might be a possible cheap solution if you don't want to goto the dealer and deal with the headache ...

I believe this is for the jk, but im pretty sure the jk and jl hardtops are the same color code so it should match... The underspray sucks, but on a positive note at least its in a good spot to where only you will notice it and doubt anyone else will unless you point it out, and its also in a good spot if you attempt to repair it

Thanks for the ideas! I've used a sharpie on my JK before but I'm not super excited about it on a brand new vehicle. I have an email into the dealer to see what they can offer.

I might grab a can of the hardtop spray and test it on something else to check the match and spray

My wife said the same thing regarding it being mostly out of the way, but once you see it it is hard to forget, ha.
