They took care of me when I reached out. Though my contact person had a heavy accent and was VERY hard to understand.
Out of curiosity, how did JeepCare take care of you??

I posted about it in the other "Bubbles" thread here.

To elaborate on it, I had an appointment at my usual dealer, Tri County Jeep, (who has done all my warranty work since new) in November to have the assessment done. When I arrived, I was sent to the waiting area. About 5 minutes later the advisor came out and told me they wouldn't do it because they had too many others already waiting. It kinda pissed me off that I scheduled the appointment a week earlier and they knew what I was coming in for yet they chose to waste my time.

In the parking lot I called the dealer I bought it from, Courtesy Jeep, who is about an hour away. The service manager told me they didn't have a body shop and when I asked how they handle these types of warranty claims (i.e. do they sub it out?), I was simply told "no"...no suggestions or referrals...nothing. I next called Videon as I noticed they had good reviews and they told me they weren't sure if they'd be able to get to it before my warranty expired in February due to back-ordered parts but if I stopped by they would write up the estimate and send it in, which I did right after I hung up the phone.

At this point, I contacted Jeep Cares as I find it ridiculous that they would deny the work if the problem has been verified several months before the warranty expiration just because the parts are causing on delay (their fault, not mine). I was assigned an advisorwho reached out to the dealer as well as trying to expedite the parts. He checked in with me frequently with updates. At the end of the day, the parts came and the work was performed before my warranty expired. It was all 4 doors, the hood and a tailgate hinge.

This is the kind of story that makes me wish we would all sue Jeep and demand a lifetime warranty. That way they can take their sweet time doing the repairs and we don't have to worry about a warranty expiring.

I've had multiple posts above if anyone care about the history. But got all four doors, hood, and some hinges warrantied yesterday. Now just have to wait for them to come in. They say it could be up to a year. But whatever... at least it's on the books and my 2020 will have new parts eventually. My dealership has been very responsive and helpful. He said the longer we wait for parts the better. Already in the system regardless of when warranty expires... plus the longer we wait the more chance the other hinges will show some sign of corrosion and can get the rest of them warrantied also.

I'm happy for all you folks that actually got you Jeep in for repair!! I've been waiting an entire year and when the service manager (specifically for this corrosion issue) actually answer the phone, the reply is "we have to outsource the body work and the shops are overbooked". I'm thinking about trading in my 2020 for a 2024. Anybody know if the corrosion issue is resolved on the 2024?

But, you live in Hawaii. How stressful could life be? Cool waves, flip flops, sand, and little bikinis.

Ok, back on topic. Any pics of the corrosion?

Dealer I went to took all the Pic's & filed (supposedly)a claim. He did say it would take a while as they don't have a body shop & the shops are all busy. I get the same story whenever I get hold of him (it's been a year since I filed). The wife thinks I should trade in for a 2024...... Whacha all think?

Fine, if you want more payments. But, I hear the newer ones have the hinges with gaskets or something like that in between. Or, you can hold out for a 2025, and see if any new performance upgrades are thrown in, like the Hurricane engine.

Yeah... after thinking about it, I decided to get her some new toys...... and NOT trade her. I'll go back to trying to get the paint fixed. Wonder if jeepcares can help get this moving? Anybody know how to get hold of jeepcares?

I've tried to get my paint issues resolved for nearly two years now through multiple dealerships and they just end up ghosting me. I finally followed up with @JeepCares through their phone support and was told I would get a call back within two days. Unfortunately, that was about two weeks ago.

I think that's a myth. I haven't seen anyone actually confirm or post one of the gaskets. From an angle, looking at the hinges, it can appear that there is a gasket. But it looks like a different color because it's unpainted and it's such a poor job that it seems like there is a gasket in between.

Can anyone confirm with a part number?

I can confirm… there’s no gasket. They don’t even bother painting underneath the hinges, that was a little shocking to me if I’m honest. Did the tailgate reinforcement on my wife’s 24 Willys yesterday and it was just raw metal underneath, no paint.
