I am a culprit of the god awful steering in my JL. Lose play, wandering, constant fixing. I have taken mine into the dealer 4x now. They finally replaced the track bar. Picked it up today and still loose. couple inches of play in each direction. Constant adjusting to keep straight. I even have a Fox Steering Stabilizer, still have problems.

It would be awesome if some of you guys and gals that do not have problems post a video of their steering while driving. The "play" you guys have, if any when going on a safe road to do so. It would help greatly, and I know that others that suffer from this would also greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

No, that is a completely different problem. From the link you posted:

The problem with this system has to do with a phenomenon called ā€œaxle wrap,ā€ the tendency of a leaf-sprung axle to twist under braking or acceleration (hereā€™s a video of it in action).

Since the Willys MB and Ford GPW donā€™t send a lot of power to the wheels (especially in four-wheel drive), axle wrap under acceleration isnā€™t really an issue. But under hard braking, it definitely is.

As the driver stabs the brakes, the Jeepā€™s axle rotates towards the front of the vehicle, and it wants to take the bellcrank along with it. Since the drag linkā€”which connects to the frame-mounted steering box on one end, and the bellcrank on the otherā€”doesnā€™t move unless the driver turns the steering wheel, the bellcrank will have a tendency to want to rotate under braking as the axle twists.

This will put the driverā€™s side tie rod in compression, and the passengerā€™s side tie rod in tension, thus turning the Jeep to the driverā€™s side, potentially into oncoming traffic.

Did they check the torque on the ball joint nuts, drag link, and other steering components? And what is your toe-in set to? Also, it would be a good idea to test drive a similar model JL from the dealer's lot so you have a reference of how it should steer.

Wow. I did not know this existed. My grandfather worked for and retired from Chrysler and this warms my heart. We got our ā€˜18 JLU Sahara threw the Employee Program the weekend before Memorial Day from Champion Jeep in Athens, AL in 2018. My wife bought her ā€˜98 Wrangler TJ Sport Memorial Day weekend in Huntsville, AL in 1998. I felt it would be fitting to get the 2018; 20 years apart. Plus I was deploying at the end of the year and wanted to make sure she had a reliable vehicle. I am in the US Army Reserve Corps. of Engineers. The story goes downhill from here. My father passed away nine years ago 9 July. Mom gave me his ā€˜08 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Pick Up. My son turned 16 September 4, 2018. I gave him his grandfathers Dodge Ram pick up for his birthday. On 26 October 2018 my son was driving to meet his grandmother, uncle, cousins, me, and my wife for the last family supper before my deployment. It was raining and he ended up running off the road, hitting a power pole, flipping the pick up. He was shaken, but unharmed. I deployed the following weekend of November 2018. I am still in the ā€œCradle of Civilizationā€. Before deployment you have to ā€œtrain upā€. While I was away for the deployment training my grandfather passed away in August 2018. He was 99 and 4 mths. Hereā€™s to you Poppa Sowell. Lets end this on a positive note. I did just acquire a ā€˜11 Jeep Extreme Camping Trailer. My brother picked it up for me this past Saturday.
