PLEASE HELP! Creaking rubber at bottom of the cargo glass

Ok I thought I had found the rattle but in fact I didn't until I had my wife drive me around while I sat in the cargo. It is the the weather strip (?) on the bottom of the cargo glass making a creaking sound. Tailgate is solidly shut and doesnt move at all - I tried hard to make it move and make a noise - trust me it ain't movin AT ALL...

Anyone else have this? Its kinda like the rubber is creaky. I cant really explain it... its almost like it needs to be more squishy rather than a stiff rubber...

See video - its like as the jeep drives/moves around the weatherstrip just flexes and creaks.

Is this a known issue you have seen? Seems bonkers this would be okay by Chrysler...

This is a known issue that has been talked about on this forum for over two years now. Many here are using bulb grease (Apply and then reapply say every 6 months) or they spend the $ and purchase anti-squeak tape. For 35,000 miles the bulb grease has done the job for me.

Yes. It’s all part of owning a vehicle with a removable top made of fiberglass.

You can lube all your rubber seals with silicone spray, but you will have to re-do it every 10 days or so.

Perhaps. But Jeep has been battling water leaks for decades.

Applied some shin etsu grease to all the rear rubber seals and fixed my issue.

Just put some grease to the weatherstripping that is on the bottom of the rear window that has contact with the tailgate and all the weatherstripping around the rear that has contact with the rear tail gate.
