So I had a TJ before and understand UV discoloration. I’d like to try and prevent that as much as possible and there are certainly enough plastic pieces on the new Jeeps to warrant it. I’ve read to stay away from alcohol based conditioners and renewers but what other considerations/recommendations do you guys have? Any specific products (applicators?) that you have used?

I use the Girot's brand Interior Detailer, which is safe on vinyl, leather, metal, plastic, glass, and NAV screens and it provides UV protection too. Plus, it doesn't leave any greasy buildup and it's not glossy, wet, etc.

303. They make a few variations for auto and marine... Provides UV protection and doesn't leave a oily mess. I use it on plastic, rubber and vinyl. I really like how it treats tires.

I also use it on my leather seats. It’s “finished” leather, so no need for fancy conditioners. Better to protect them from UV since the top is down all summer.

In fact, I just washed and waxed my Jeep, yesterday, for the first time in about a year. The longest part of the process was applying the 303 Aerospace protectant becauseI put it on almost everything:

Fender flares
Hood vents and cowl
Door handles
Dash
Seats
Trim
Mirror housings
Rubber trim around windows
Speaker bar and plastic part of roll bar
Sun visors
MOPAR floor mats

I don’t bother with tires, but it’s well suited for them.

Great stuff... FWIW I use the original Aerospace formula 303 (30307CSR) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J8NKGSG/

For the soft top windows and headlights I use Plexus.

I use Chemical Guys VRP. It’s more of a shiner black than matte, but that’s what I prefer. It doesn’t attract much dirt and lasts a long time. The only downside is that you must remove oils and waxes before putting on or it will sling.

I use 303 on plastics (inside and out) and rubber dash and door interior panels. I also recently used it on the vinyl top and it really made it look like new

To redarken exterior black plastics, I use WipeNew. It makes that faded black plastic look new. and doesn't wash off

Anyone else also treating their headlights? I use Mother's plastic polish on mine. I used it on my Subaru and after 170k miles I barely had any fog on the lenses.
