Thread over at the Gladiator site said the Toledo plant pumps out a completed vehicle every 8.5 minutes! That’s a bunch no matter how long each of us has to wait.

That's what the press release said. They'll all be delivered in time for Jeep Beach, which starts April 24. That's the reason everyone's Xtreme Recon orders have been on indefinite hold: all 5000 High Tide and Beach models come with XR and the contract with Jeep Beach stipulates they'll be delivered in time.

Man, I remember seeing that, but didnt know there were 5000 units ordered? If thats the case and they really are putting others on the back burner and putting these all up front... Well thats total horse shit in my opinion!!!

The trademark was filed last summer, so I'm assuming the contract was signed around that same time too.

The first 500 will be Beach Editions. The other 4500 will be High Tide Editions. The only difference is the hood decal.

Doesn’t make much sense. I ordered a XR Rubi with cold weather, steel bumper, towing/electrical, LED on 12/2 and got it on 1/31. Something off with dealer maybe??

Jeep cranks out between 500 and 800 Jeep Wranglers *per day* out of the plant in Toledo, so a run of 5,000 vehicles for a specific event means an interruption of not even two weeks for the rest of us that ordered our Jeeps before they announced the special editions. If it's true that they are really prioritizing those orders ahead of all others that means that my Jeep won't get delivered before Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. I knew I was cutting it close when I ordered, but it is what it is...
