These totals include ALL non-pilot builds for all markets. "Retail" means any vehicle that will eventually be sold to the public (sold orders, dealer orders etc.).

As of 12/6/17 only a very small amount of JLs have been shipped to dealers and very few have reached "KZ" (built and released by plant) status.

Btw they have built over 800 JL pilot models!

Jay,

Since it appears that FCA is not updating the database you have been tracking in the other thread, is there a way for you to get real status updates on our orders?

It's the most up to date info we have access to. I don't believe that FCA is not updating the database since we've seen other vehicles progress past D1 in the system. I think at most there is a disconnect right now due to the initial slow roll out/vehicle holds and/or the tracking updates not being fully up to speed yet. I'd expect it to clear up soon. Keep in mind many dealership demo JLs ordered in early August are just getting into the build stages and won't see them on the ground until likely late January. A good indication is that the first dealerships aren't getting trained on it until mid-late January and FCA will be bringing the JLs to those dealerships.

Jay,

There were a couple of guys yesterday who posted that they had their dealer call a FCA customer rep and that they received updates that their Jeeps are well past D1 and that FCA wasn't updating the database you are tracking. I can dig them up if you didn't see them. Don't want you wasting your time if they aren't going to keep the database you are tracking up to date.

They are updating it, as I said we are seeing in the tracking system other vehicles (both JL and JK) that have moved past D1. I think we'll see whatever issue is causing this clear up soon. In the meantime will dig to see if I can provide further updates about what is going on behind the scenes.

Thanks for posting this. Any word on the production ramp up capacity. 1300 built seems relatively low(ish), job 1 started around the 15th of Nov right?

Vehicles not sold to the public, basically pre-production built for testing, training, etc.

Appreciate the update! I work in supply chain and this whole process really intrigues me...I'm trying to imagine what it takes to coordinate all the parts, suppliers, inventory and master scheduling. It has to be a massive operation!

Any updates today? It would be fun to have something before the weekend, when things go quiet. I'm assuming the plant shuts down on weekends, or do they keep it going?

I’m just curious JAY what happens to these 800 test Jeeps that aren’t ever sold ? How long does the testing continue after the vehicle has been placed in full production ?
