I’m just curious JAY what happens to these 800 test Jeeps that aren’t ever sold ? How long does the testing continue after the vehicle has been placed in full production ?

Crushed! By law. They don’t have a VIN and therefore can’t be sold.

I imagine some get used for crash test certifications, too.

But yeah, all will be destroyed.

Check Jeep production Toledo plant. They state they are working 2-shifts 6-days a week. Each shift produces 340 Jeeps. This means a total of 680 Jeeps a day times 6 days total 4080 per week.

This mirrors what I was told when I talked to a lady in scheduling at the plant. Line speed is 34 an hour. JK was 54 an hour so they're still ramping up production.

• 2018 JL Wrangler Rubicon 4-door 5,150 [incl. 318 for Canada]
• Grand Total: 27,721
• JL's currently in D1: 1,497
• JL's currently in Framing/Trim/Paint: 1,468
