I believe the dry weight is 2800 pounds. Packed for camping, it is at the upper limit of Jeep’s towing capacity, but it does surprisingly well. It is an opus camper: OP4 with the air annex. www.opuscamper.usHow heavy is that beast and where can I get one?
Too much for my 2 door then. Wonder if they have any lighter fair?I believe the dry weight is 2800 pounds. Packed for camping, it is at the upper limit of Jeep’s towing capacity, but it does surprisingly well. It is an opus camper: OP4 with the air annex. www.opuscamper.us
They have just release a lighter model called the OP Lite. Not sure on the weight but you should be able to find the specs online. Good luck!Too much for my 2 door then. Wonder if they have any lighter fair?
That does look comfy.
It's over my 2,000 lb limit. There are lighter options, so I'm looking for a small enclosed trailer that I can use as a utility trailer as well as extra storage for camping gear. They have just release a lighter model called the OP Lite. Have you heard of IntechRV? They have a few models that can be towed by a 2 door. It's over my 2,000 lb limit. There are lighter options, so I'm looking for a small enclosed trailer that I can use as a utility trailer as well as extra storage for camping gear.
Tents will do for now.
No, but I do like their Flyer Pursue with the add a room tent. Thanks for the heads up.Have you heard of IntechRV? They have a few models that can be towed by a 2 door.
The Flyer Pursue tongue weight with the slide-out kitchen would be too heavy for the 2door, it is about 352 lbs. Without the kitchen it should be under. I had the Pursue which we pulled with our JLUR and JLUS and it performed great. No, but I do like their Flyer Pursue with the add a room tent. Thanks for the heads up.
The wife insists on standing room and a kitchen inside. The Flyer Pursue tongue weight with the slide-out kitchen would be too heavy for the 2door, it is about 352 lbs. Without the kitchen it should be under. I had the Pursue which we pulled with our JLUR and JLUS and it performed great.
Some people like a pop-up, for me that was a non-starter. We went from the Flyer Pursue to the Sol Dawn, it will not go on real trails or rock crawling but is very capable and will handle forest service roads, etc. which is enough for us.The wife insists on standing room and a kitchen inside.

This is more her style.
I would prefer just a closed box on wheels to put my camping gear in. That way I can use it for hardware runs, the pup can be comfortable in the back of the Jeep, and I don't pay an arm and a leg.
Well if I had a Hemi 4 door, I might be able to get one and then we would both be happy. Some people like a pop-up, for me that was a non-starter.
