This is why I'm more of a desert camping kind of gal. I do NOT like bears.
My wife is the opposite. Bears are fine, but there's rattlesnakes in the desert.

I prefer bears vs. snakes as blacks are predominant around here and come across them often enough (backyard). Now if we are talking Browns/Grizzlies... I will pick snakes. I think they kill for fun.

Love camping. But still love camping on the ground. Utilize every square inch if possible. Dont want to invest in a trailor yet

I'd take a rattlesnake any day over a bear. I've seen a lot of rattlesnakes and as long as you don't step on them they just want to be left alone.

Grizzly bears are no joke. I did some hiking up in Montana and couldn't relax the whole time. The week before I was there some guy went off the trail for a bathroom break, ran into a grizzly and was never seen again. Big NOPE for me.

Rattlesnakes won’t hunt you😂
But I am not that worried about black bears either…
Grizzlies on the other hand. I’m scared of those motherf’ckers

Camping on the Rubicon Trail....

We camped the night before running the trail at the Lake Tahoe side.

Then camped on the Rubicon Trail. You know your wife like to Jeep and camp when she wakes up looking like this at 6 am or so after sleeping in a tent.

Carla getting her coffee in are getting ready to wheel. She ended up driving most of the trail while I spotted for the rest of the group.
