We just got ours a couple months ago and it seems to sit pretty level hooked up and towing.No- definitely squatting a bit. My hope is that when I move the RTT to the trailer, the RAW will lighten some. The tongue weight for the XT was listed at 220ish, and I don’t anticipate putting anything too heavy up front, just the large bulky items.
Looks like some really great times and photos!Went camping in Mesa Verde NP with one of the patrols of Mile High Jeep Club. It's an ancient club that's been around since the '50s.
I eventually ended in camping along the Colorado River outside of Moab "on the way home". I decided to go that route since nobody would do an unscheduled Black Bear Pass and I sure as hell wasn't doing it solo...so I rerouted to get the Hell's Revenge badge on this Jeep. It's a fun run that's pretty simple with 37s, a 3" lift, and no spotter.
Unfortunately the one thing I forgot was my sleeping pad. Sleeping on the ground sure as hell isn't comfortable for a side sleeper.
So far so good. It sets up incredibly quickly and seems to keep things toasty in the cold.Looks like some really great times and photos!
Question for you - how are you liking the Shiftpod tent? I've been researching them lately...
Thanks, @Ratbert. I have 2 Crua Tri's and they're awesome, but bulky. Thinking of selling both and picking up a Shiftpod. The new Shiftpod.mini would be the perfect size for my wife and I, and our two dogs.So far so good. It sets up incredibly quickly and seems to keep things toasty in the cold.
The measurements on their site imply that it won't fit across the back seat of a JLU, but it does. Note that it takes up quite a bit if room. The bag is heavy duty, so I might eventually strap it onto the roof rack.
Nice!... how much weight are you towing?
This was on my way to do some camping and fishing this weekend. Almost two years into owning my Jeep I still can't get over how much I love it.
