Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
The area we were in was in Alberta, Canada. I feel it has some of the best views Canada has to offer. Close to the rookies so you can go to Banff, lake moraine, Canmore .. the list goes on and on, it’s a adventures playground with endless hikes, off-roading, white water rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, horse back riding .. just to name a few.

As for the horses, that was sheer luck, they were even walking around our camp site. I’m just glad it wasn’t a bear!

So if you can come up here, there’s lots to do if you like that stuff.
I am headed to Alaska in July of 22.

Ditched the RRT for this trip and went with a big ground tent. We had the trailer packed out with all our beach goodies. Fort Pickens and the Gulf Islands National Seashore did not disappoint.

I thought those locations looked familiar. :) I was stationed in the Panhandle, and spent a fair bit of time sightseeing in places like Ft. Pickens.

I grew up vacationing in PCB - Ft Pickens and the NAS we’re always stops that we made. I’m taking the girls to Destin here in the next week or so, when they get a little older, we’re definitely hitting the P’cola seen - thanks for sharing!

Camped at 11400 feet in the San Isabel National Forest during my June traverse of sections of the TransAmerica Trail (TAT) The tent windows are down due to the Rain and Sleet most of the night.

Maiden voyage with the new JJ to Vedauwoo WY. Was able to get through some semi technical spots on the trail np considering I've never wheeled with a trailer. Look forward to really testing it on future trips.

Getting ready to take my new Rubi up to Monache Meadows this weekend with hubby and his friends. Can't wait to hit the trails finally! BTW...how did you handle the first rock chip, paint chip, or ding while of road? I know its going to happen, but UGH!! It just hurts when it does! 🤣
My thought process. If it happens while I was smiling behind the wheel while off roading then it is what it is. If it happens in a parking lot then I’ll 😢

I am headed to Alaska in July of 22.
I went to Prudhoe Bay in 2009, and Tuktoyaktuk (NW terr) in 2018. One hell of a great time. There are soooooo many great places to visit along the way, you will love every minute of your trip.
My son plays bball in college, so for the next few years I won't be taking any big vacations. But as soon as my son's career is over, I want to take the wife on a 12 mo vacation to all the places I used to go by myself, and she only got to see the pics. I went up there on a motorcycle, and my wife hates to ride, so when we both go, it will be in a more comfortable RV. A warm bed every night is more her style. Enjoy your trip,

And your findings........? RTT gone or just trying something different for a while?

Been thinking of a gazelle for myself
I'll only go back to a RTT if I can store all the bedding for all seasons in it. The scene from Austin powers and digging things out of the bag/his ass prevented me from going with the gazelle. All the videos I watched and the couple actual trips out with others using them proved they are see through 😬
