Got my first Jeep, JLUR, in late June of this year. This was my first time ever off-roading at the trails at Vortex Springs here in NW Florida a few weeks ago. Looking forward to many more trips. Taking my boys camping next weekend up at Hurricane Lake in Blackwater; some trails there as well. We are loving the Jeep life so far.
Typical drive home from school-

4 year old son: “Papa, can we please put the tops downed-ed?”

Me: “Sorry. Not today, bud.”

4 year old son: “Why? We do it, like, all the time, everyday…”

Me: “It’s raining really bad and we’ll get soaked.”

4 year old son: “So, what!? We’re in the JEEEEEP!!!”

Me: … no arguable response …

You have to love a child’s enthusiasm! We need more of that as adults, don’t we?

2,500 km on the clock.. Got 'stuck' in the shingle of the Wadi bed.
Nothing some low range and wheel wiggle didnt sort out easily enough

The nice thing was that in my JK this much water (it was deeper at the front) would have meant wet feet .... Not a single drop entered into the JL!

It just tickles me to see this thread and makes me wonder how the much praised and revered Land Cruiser, Land Rover or Mercedes G550 would do in the same situations. I'm currently getting my JL built so have nothing to contribute yet but please, keep the pics coming!

Funny thing is my Jeep has been flexed out like this thousands of times.

Just don't see Toyotas, Land cruiser or Mercedes G550 like this very often out on the trail. Or at least I don't. We had a 4runner with us on this trip, the 4runner was lifted on 35s, he did not take this line.

2015 when all there was to do in ohio was mud :'( (bonus points if you know this spot hahaha). Rough line bc there was a post-fire car frame/body blocking the good line. I hate peanut butter mud. Shes still cruising fine and just rolled 150k coming back from a moab/sw co trip.

And then theres the "I survived that" moment. I was 3 months deep into dating my partner and it was our first time wheeling in Moab together (both have been countless times). Welcome to the fun my love 🤪

Pretty sure I’ve still been clearing out mud from there three months later.

I'm at 26,000 miles and counting on my 2020. I wish I could say I've got more off-road miles than highway, but a fair portion of the highway miles have been heading to the trails. Been from the top to the bottom of California in the past year, plus runs to Nevada multiple times. This was on Little John Bull near Big Bear Lake, CA, during the Jamboree this year. Looking forward to Death Valley Jamboree in November!

I just did Top of the World a few months ago. Had a blast and was happy to have made it being on stock wheels.

But, I have to say, hanging off the edge like that….you are nuts!!:like:

It's been a few days ago now, but I got groceries last week. Forgot to take pics.
