Anyone have pics of their factory suspension flexing before adding any lift kits?

Just heard about the much longer bump stop towers in the shocks and am curious what kind of travel up and down 392 owners are seeing with this. I have a Rubi with the XR package enroute with the same new towers.

Hopefully getting my 392XR in under 2 weeks, I’ll use my buddy’s forklift to get some flex pics/measurements before I throw on the Metalcloak setup.

post up some pics! I want to know how much travel and how well those tires stuff! I have a Rubi coming with the XR package and I am chopping front and rear fenders, replacing the liners, and putting on 37s. Wondering if those bump stop towers are-going to act.

This is not fully flexed. But it is at least a photo of some flex. I do feel as though the 392 XR gets into the bump stops pretty quickly and I’m already starting research to get deeper more progressive up travel.

Up is only one direction, you already have lockers, hang it off to determine if you need more. You have a solid foot to go.

congrats on the buy! I would def like to see some flex with the other wheel drooping to see how far it droops down.

curious what the shock travel length is as well.

Here is my stock suspension XR. It looks like it could take more up travel without rubbing.
Edit: I didn’t see that the request was for a 392. Mine is obviously not.

My 392XR suspension appears to have rubbed pretty well at some point. There is a lot of clearance in those above photos so it must occur when stuffing a wheel with some angle on the steering rack.

On the 392 FB page that has been happening for 392s. Not many 392 XRs out to report yet but many have been having that issue driving at highway speed. Not offroad use, but highway. For some reason the inners are buckling with airflow and rubbing tire

The liner is melted in the damaged area…. It’s happening to 392’s specially your say? I bet it occurs when testing the engine above 85mph. I have got mine to triple digits twice and you can tell the aerodynamics do not approve. The 110mph re-limit is accurate on the XR…

Prob correct. Testing the limiter lol. Not sure I would like to drive a brick at 110 lol

Aren the shocks the same as in the Rubicon? I replace those with 2-3inch lift bilstein and got way better articulation with rubi springs. Mind you I am just on 33s. So with the XR youd probably need to dial in some spacers or longer springs.
