How did you modify the bumper to fender plastic closeout piece? Take the whole thing off, cut it out while in place, or something different?
LED fenders going on soon. she also got a bath shortly after these pics. more scenic pics to come along with more mods in the future.
im still amazed how well it drives.
i asked the shop who did it to trim them and they said they never did it on a JL before but im assuming they trimmed them while still attached. they may have removed them first tho im not too sure. but they are trimmed and flush on fender exactly how i wanted itHow did you modify the bumper to fender plastic closeout piece? I don't think you'll need a lift with the 33's: work fine on my daughter's '21 sport s with zero rubbing issues of any kind: even going to the 0 offset from the +44 of factory wheels, her tire only protrudes about 1/2" beyond her fenders..again zero rubbing issues with any of the fenders or suspension/frameInstead of doing a RC 2.5 spacer lift im looking into 1” or 1.5” spacers and going with 33s. as a daily driver i think the 2.5 and 35s may cause too many issues down the road (LCAs, trackbar, regears, etc). i think with a small spacer lift and 33s i can still get the look im going for. if i notice driving issues i can add LCAs and a trackbar later.
thoughts?
Very nice. Looks like you thought this out well. Before and after of my daughter’s’21 Sport S:
Before is with bone stock factory wheels & tires, after is with method 309 grid titanium: 17x8.5, 0 offset and BF Goodrich KO2’s in 285/70-17
See above i ended up going with a 1”/1.5” teraflex spacer lift and 17x8 wheels with 33” ko2s and i think it worked out well....your daughters jeep looks great!I don't think you'll need a lift with the 33's: work fine on my daughter's '21 sport s with zero rubbing issues of any kind: even going to the 0 offset from the +44 of factory wheels, her tire only protrudes about 1/2" beyond her fenders..again zero rubbing issues with any of the fenders or suspension/frame
